Men, if you savor the warmth of fellowship around a fire, solitude on the bluff of a wilderness lake, or the grandeur of wilderness scenery, the Men's Pack Trip is for you. If you'd like the gift of coming home refreshed and renewed in mind, body and soul, you can't miss this! $60 (Includes dinner on Thursday, 3 meals Friday & Saturday, and 2 meals Sun.) Who: Men, young men, pack donkeys, (you pack your gear, the donkeys pack our food). No pets allowed. Limit is 18 guys. What: Backpacking high in the mountains. This is a 2 1/2 hour, 3 1/2 mile hike, one-way. Trail is relatively even-sloped without major inclines. Where: Lake Isherwood, Sky Lakes Wilderness. We’ll take the Cold Springs Trailhead, east side of the Pacic Crest. When: August 15-18, (Thurs. to Sun.) Meet at 6 a.m., TRF front parking lot. Car-pooling encouraged. Eat breakfast before showing up, bring your own lunch to eat at trailhead. Return Sunday afternoon, at approximately 4 p.m., give or take an hour. Why: Fellowship, exploration, fun, food, worship, the Word, fishing, huckleberry picking.
